9:00am-12:00pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>FLORENCE<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Le Murate.\u00a0Contemporary Art Projects Piazza delle Murate, Florence, Ketty La Rocca room Thursday October 31, 2:30-7.30pm<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prepared in collaboration with the Archive Crispolti, the days in Siena and Florence are dedicated to an in-depth study of the legacy of professor Enrico Crispolti (1933-2018) during his stint as Director of the Specialization School of Siena (1986-1998 and 2001-2007).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Conference focuses on the methodological, didactic, research aspects and on the activities of the Specialization School promoted by Crispolti, through seminars with artists, conferences, exhibitions, publications and research projects, with a view to provide a broad overview of both the methodological-planning approach and the skills proposed by the School.\u00a0At the same time, the days highlight the virtuous convergences with the other teachings inherent to contemporary art activated by the scholar during his direction.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first part of the work, in Siena, sees among the speakers both teachers and regular attendants of the School, and alumni, who today are university teachers or professionals working in related sectors, for whom the experience of the School represented a decisive formative moment under the methodological viewpoint.\u00a0In particular, Marisa Dalai Emiliani will speak about the numerous and strenuous &#8220;battles&#8221; conducted with Enrico Crispolti to recognize the Specialization Schools in ministerial reforms.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The second part of the work, in Florence, will be specifically dedicated to the methodological reflections on the history and art criticism by Enrico Crispolti as well as on curatorial practice and militant criticism.\u00a0Numerous former students, who today are directors or curators of museums and art centers or are active as independent curators of international projects, will discuss the critical and curatorial approach as well as some project initiated by Crispolti and inherited by the professionals he trained at the Specialization School .<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The day will end with a speech by Linda Kaiser who will propose, together with the Crispolti Archive, the foundation of an association of alumni of the Specialization School of the University of Siena.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The conference is supported by the\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Toscana in Contemporanea 2019<\/strong>\u00a0program \u00a0within the Contemporary
